Chili calamari stir fried salad
A healthy chili calamarai salad recipe for all to enjoy.
Ingredients
4 medium calamari tubes (800g)
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves garlic, crushed
½ teaspoon chili paste or 1 fresh red chili
½ teaspoon ground black peppercorns
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
2 teaspoons white wine vinegar
1 teaspoon sugar
mixed salad leaves
Method
Score inside surface of calamari, cut calamari into 6cm pieces. Heat half of the oil in wok or large frying pan. Stir-fry combined calamari, garlic, chili and peppercorns in batches, until calamari is just tender, return calamari to wok.Add remaining oil, combined vinegars and sugar, stir until hot. Serve with mixed salad leaves.
